Sálika is the elf protector of the Aracan mountain, a place known as the ancient home of a powerful spirit called Apuí.

Sálika grew up among her people and from a young age showed skills for acrobatics and battles, playfully challenging anyone who stood in her way. As she grew older, her skills began to attract the attention of the elven warriors and she gained training that would span over 100 years, until she began to reach higher levels in the internal hierarchy. Her life, however, took a different turn when her group was sent to reconquer the mountain of Aracan, where a group of unknown beings had been living clandestinely for several years.
The mission went well, but the ancient legends about Apuí would soon prove to be true with the fury of the spirit driving away the entire elven team, few leaving unscathed. After hours of battle and at the brink of defeat that would take her life, a twist made Apuí decide to invade the elf's mind to destroy her. At this junction, Sálika had contact with the memories of millennia of Apuí and discovered part of the secrets of the mountain of Aracan.

With these secrets in hand and proving herself much stronger than Apuí thought she was, Sálika decided to seal a deal with the ancient spirit, where she would protect that sacred place in exchange for his powers. Since then, Sálika has protected the mountain of Aracan and has benefited from the powers of Apuí, the ancient spirit of the strangler trees.
She knows, however, that at some point her body will be increasingly taken over by these powers until she will finally become one of the ancient trees that live on that mountain and that have protected it for millennia.
